The wines

Château Doms offers a range of five different wines designed for different tasting occasions. Each wine has its own unique profile and sensory characteristics. When tasting, you will notice they are all marked with the touch of femininity and the know-how of the women of Château Doms.

Graves AOC red wine

Terroir: the vines grow on a sandy-gravelly soil. They are 35 years old on average. This wine is a blend of Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting notes: deep red robe with purple tints, this wine offers a complex nose of red fruit (blackcurrant) and spices. The attack is supple. It is round on the palate with smooth tannins.

Food & wine association: to accompany entrecôte grilled on vine twigs, cheeses, canelés or desserts with red fruit.

Service: to be served at 18 ° C. Open the bottle two hours in advance or decant prior to tasting.

Aging: the 2005 vintage is very concentrated will be at its best at 8 to 10 years.

Graves AOC “Cuvée Amélie” red wine

Graves Cuvée Amélie red wine bottle

The “Cuvée Amélie” is aged in oak barrels. Its name is inspired by the first woman to settle on the estate in 1933.

Terroir: the vines grow on a sandy-gravelly soil. Cuvée Amélie is produced from the oldest vines. This wine is a blend of Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting notes: the robe of this wine is deep ruby with garnet tints. It offers an intense bouquet with notes of fresh fruit and smoke. The supple attack gives way to a nice roundness and lots of sweetness on the palate, with melted tannins.

Food & wine association: lamproie à la Bordelaise, wild boar stew with grand veneur sauce, roast lamb, strawberries in wine, chocolate desserts.

Service: to be served at 18 ° C. Open the bottle two hours in advance or decant prior to tasting.

Aging: very concentrated, it will keep for over 10 years.

Graves AOC white wine

Terroir: the vines grow on a gravelly soil laid on clay and sand. The average age of the vines is 45 years. This wine is a blend of Semillon (60%) and Sauvignon.

Tasting notes: a beautiful bright yellow robe with green tints. Floral and fruity nose, this Graves white wine seduces by its body, its freshness, and its long finish.

Food & wine association: as an aperitif or to accompany oysters and fish dishes. It is remarkable with goat’s cheese (Saint Maur de Touraine).

Service: 7-9°C.

Aging : this wine is ready to drink now. However, it will evolve to candied fruit and apricot aromas if kept for 4 years.

Bordeaux AOC red wine

Terroir: the vines grow on the clay terraces of the Garonne river and are 40 years old. This wine is an easy-to-drink Merlot.

Le Rosé de Doms is made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Terroir: the vines grow on the clay terraces of the Garonne river. This wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting notes: an intense pink color with orange tints, this fruity and floral wine combines refinement and freshness.

Food & wine association: as an aperitif with tapenade, or with grilled meats, salads and Mediterranean dishes.

Service: to be served at 7 ° C

Aging: best drunk now for maximum freshness.
